Nata anticamente come chiesa del vicino monastero femminile benedettino-cistercense, fondato nel 1212 e soppresso dai napoleonici nel 1806, oggi inglobato nell’Ospedale Civile. Più volte ristrutturata dopo gli incendi del 1493 e del 1695, l’attuale impianto è settecentesco. All’interno conserva opere del XVIII secolo (Antonio Lazzarini, Gaspare Diziani e altri) mentre fino alla soppressione ottocentesca ospitava un polittico di bottega del Carpaccio, venduto nel 1810 alla parrocchia di Tisoi.

Born as the ancient church of the nearby Benedictine-Cistercian female monastery, founded in 1212 and suppressed by Napoleon in 1806 and today partly united to the city Hospital. Many times rebuilt after the fires that occurred in 1498 and 1695, today’s structure is a XVIII century result. Inside there are works from the XVIII century by Antonio Lazzarini, Gaspare Diziani and others, but up the XIX century closure in hosted a large wooden panel painted by the school of Carpaccio, sold in 1810 to the little parish of Tisoi.
