La chiesa fu costruita assieme all’annesso convento dei padri Cappuccini tra il 1927 e il 1937 per volontà di Federico Morassutti su disegno dell’arch. Alberto Alpago-Novello. Eretta in parrocchia dal 1956, funge da monumento-ossario per i caduti militari: tra gli altri ospita i resti del patriota risorgimentale bellunese Jacopo Tasso (1808-fucilato a Treviso il 10.4.1849) e del pilota medaglia d’oro della prima guerra mondiale Arturo Dell’Oro. L’affresco della facciata è di Piero Cortelezzi.

The church was built together with the nearby Capuchin friars monastery between 1927 and 1937 at the request of Federico Morassutti on a design by Alberto Alpago-Novello. Parish church since 1956 it is also a war grave memorial chapel: among others it hosts the tombs of the Italian Risorgimento patriot Jacopo Tasso (executioned by the Austrians in Treviso on April 10. 1849) and of the First World War pilot, gold honor medal Arturo Dell’Oro (fallen September 1. 1917). The façade fresco was painted by Piero Cortelezzi (1898-1978).
